Pros:
Great design, ultra thin chassis (1 inch), large keyboard, matte screen
Disadvantages:
No dedicated graphics chip set
Bottom line:
The Samsung N230 was made available for the first time in July and it has an ultra thin-chassis only 1 inch, a strong 7 hr battery life, great keyboard and matte screen. The only complaint that I can have is the lack of any kind of hardware video support and that is want as a complaint rather one. This is hands down one of the best Samsung Netbooks have I ever checked. The best part is that it only $330.79.
Fast product specs:
Intel Atom N450 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive, Windows 7 Starter (see full details)
Design:
The NetBook is only 1 inch thick partly thanks to its thin 3-cell battery, but also because it has slimmed-down design. The NetBook has a mat screen making it excellent also uses the newer chiclet for use from outside and it style keyboard that looks great. The upper lid is fingerprint stains; but that’s not enough of a deterrent for me, also be bothered because the rest of the NetBook looks so smooth and thin.
Usability:
The Samsung N230 keyboard is excellent. It is the newer chiclet style keyboard offers more space between each key and is 93% full size. I know not why every NetBook manufacturers adopted this layout, because it’s Super is and continues to impress me in any NetBook, which I use. It is very easy to give and I was able, with full speed in less than a few minutes of adjusting my desktop keyboard type. The touchpad is very responsive and I personally using an another great feature of this NetBook the type of an external mouse on almost any NetBook, which I buy this is usually a deal breaker for me, and luckily the Samsung N230 could not disappoint. The touchpad is considerable and the accompanying buttons respond very and.
We have the 1024 x 600 resolution in earlier Netbooks to see used is grown back again in the N230. Personally, I would like to see the higher resolution of 1366 x 768; However, I believe that Netbooks to function better graphics capabilities begin as this is a slow transition. As already mentioned, the NetBook beschuppt a mat screen, which the N230 the ideal choice for users looking for an indoor and outdoor swimming pool is calculator.
Battery life:
The Samsung N230 has a 3-cell battery; However the small capacity of the battery packs a punch and an average battery life of approximately 7 hours provided. I think that life that battery is more than adequate, because what I heard so much about this NetBook love, is slim design. Without the smaller 3-cell battery, we would have a NetBook, which was instead much thicker instead of this dense stealthy 1 inch size. If you know you need a strong battery life than what offers the N230 as your choice is simple, but something with a 6-cell battery. I prefer to keep as it is weight with the smaller battery for design sake and reduction of Samsung.
Total power:
Overall I think the Samsung N230 performs several tasks for only $330.79: keyboard design, matte screen, strong battery life (for a 3 cell) and solid build quality. There are only I would like to see a few things, see changed with this NetBook and contain the the resolution of 1024 x 600 (give me 1366 x 768) and the lack of a dedicated graphics support option. However, these two “errors” could more will be considered as a necessity, as not comparatively cheap NetBook to offer them. The only thing you really need to decide is if you do better to graphics support or a greater battery life. If you do not need these two than I recommend you buy the Samsung N230. If at the end, I suggest you more juice to get through the day or more graphics support to watch the 10-inch options on our NetBook comparison grid.
