The Toughbook 53 has Intel Core i series and up to 10 hours of battery life of the second generation a 14-inch display. Panasonic says the Toughbook 53 is evaluated, in order to withstand a 30-inch drops to six pages, has a spill resistant keyboard and passed nine MIL-STD-810 G. Brightness has an optional 2,800 nit outdoor-viewable display with touchscreen functionality. Further improvements in the Toughbook 53 include a backlit keyboard, 25% larger contact surface, USB 3.0, HDMI, an SDXC card slot and optional mobile broadband Gobi2000.
Specifications of Toughbook 53 include an Intel Core i3 or i5 dual-core processor with Intel vPro technology 2 GB, 8 GB RAM, an optional 128 GB SSD and six hours battery with the battery pack light or ten hours with the extended long-life battery. A hard drive heater is optional for those in colder climates.
For availability and rates
The Panasonic Toughbook 53 comes with a three-year warranty. The base of i5 model will ship in June for MSRP $1.899; The touchscreen model in July for $2,449; and finally, the model of i3 in August for $maintenance areas. Panasonic will continue to require its existing 15, 4-inch to produce Toughbook 52 for those, the powerful video performance.
