build and design

ThinkPad workstations have always known that top-of-the-line, updated systems in terms of performance, FHD display, build quality, battery and power consumption and result in a variety of features such as such as the fingerprint reader, nice upgrade options and a variety of port. This workstation is life expected up to those, the ThinkPad high standards and expectations. From the looks of it, the external build of W520 about the same as the previous generation model,
the Lenovo ThinkPad W520 is workstation. Lenovo stuck with the same ultra robust hinges, still equally was built due to a build-fix for the older models. The hinge and display cover are so good that it takes a good amount of power, even tilt the screen back or forward (the naturally soothing) built. The palm rest and keyboard are both extremely difficult and – no Flex shows regular input and only a minimal amount of Flex when trying, press down extremely hard.

Some minor exterior design changes include the newly added Lenovo society label on the front of the screen housing, new carbon fiber mixed with the glass fiber to the display cover (no longer reinforced plastic) and the lack of color of the glass ?ber/plastic based. In this sense, some consumers can find, the goal on the basis and cover point worrying because it collects dust, grease and fingerprints easily. In short, could she finish up as high maintenance during the daily use of the notebook. Although the most notebooks show frequent only because of the color, Black colored dust this laptop seems more so, than the most other business notebooks will bear fat from the fingers I have the pleasure to had with.

Lenovo from lower upgrade Panel and keyboard easy to remove, for the most part, and each screw on site appropriately labelled. For example, if you had a little experience with the update notebooks know probably immediately remove the screws, you get icons in the RAM under the keyboard because of Lenovo. The bottom of the workstation Panel provides easy access to the first two slots and one other easy access for the hard drive. There is a screw, you have to get on the hard disk to remove two screws to remove the bottom of the RAM (and to open two on the keyboard). The wireless card under the keyboard should take not a long time to find and remove, if you are looking to swap it out. One other thing, I would like to mention is that the W520 RAM, but can update a potential capacity of up to 32 GB for now you only at the time of purchase to 16 GB.

Ports and features

The Lenovo ThinkPad W520 provides an impressive, large span ports. As well as the W510 has this workstation two Superspeed USB 3.0, USB 2.0, USB 2.0/eSATA, VGA, DisplayPort FireWire 400 out, ExpressCard/34, SDHC card reader and a combo – head headphone jack. Work professionals are the two USB 3.0 ports and 4-in-1 card slot include and have the possibility of adding a smart card reader. At this point released Lenovo is not an option for Blu-ray as recently. Our system has a multiburner optical drive.
